Compare the GMC Yukon to the Infiniti QX80 and Cadillac Escalade
Keeping the fun in your family vacation requires a vehicle to keep up with every part of your lifestyle. Whether you're looking for a spacious cargo area or need plenty of seating for your passengers, full-size SUVs feature configurable interiors to match your needs on the go. The GMC Yukon puts you in control of your vacation, featuring a passenger-friendly interior, powerful engine options, and plenty of exciting features to keep you entertained and safe. You'll find every reason to go out on an adventure when you're at the steering wheel of the new Yukon.
The Yukon isn't without its rivals. Luxury options like the Infiniti QX80 and Cadillac Escalade are sure to make the decision difficult, prompting you to wonder what option best suits your personal needs. If you need an affordable, road-ready SUV that won't skimp on amenities and conveniences, you don't need to spend on expensive luxury models - the GMC Yukon fits the bill perfectly. Consider your options below and schedule a test drive when you're ready to get a firsthand look at the new Yukon!

GMC Yukon vs. Infiniti QX80
You need a lot of muscle to get your full-size SUV from point A to point B. The GMC Yukon comes standard with a 5.3-liter V8, delivering 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The Infiniti QX80 matches this with a standard 5.6-liter V8, producing 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with a seven-speed automatic transmission. While the Yukon may have less power with its base engine, you can upgrade to a 6.2-liter V8 that outputs 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet, respectively - beating out the base QX80 engine. The Yukon also has a Duramax® Turbo-Diesel with exceptional, robust performance - the Infiniti SUV has nothing to match this performance.
Getting comfy inside is easy with the three-row GMC Yukon. The Yukon features 44.5/42.0 and 42.3/38.9 inches of legroom/headroom in the first and second rows. You might not find it if you're looking for an equally accommodating ride in the new Infiniti QX80. The QX80 offers less legroom in the first and second rows and can't compete with the GMC SUV's headroom in the front row. If you want to fill up the cargo area, you'll have much more luck in the GMC Yukon - it offers a maximum of 122.9 cubic feet of storage. The Infiniti QX80 only offers 95.1 cubic feet, nearly 30 cubic feet less than the Yukon.

GMC Yukon vs. Cadillac Escalade
Glancing under the hood reveals a similar story for the GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade. Both SUVs feature 6.2-liter V8 engines. However, the Cadillac Escalade expects you to work with its single-engine option. The GMC Yukon enjoys three unique engines, including a Duramax® Turbo Diesel engine delivering 266 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque - the Cadillac has no diesel option currently. When equipped with the proper towing package, the Yukon tows up to 8,400 pounds. If you want to tow using the Escalade, the Cadillac SUV only manages a maximum of 7,700 pounds of towing capacity.
The GMC Yukon Denali trim boasts premium technology and features, giving you access to a class-leading power-sliding center console, a first-in-class available four-corner air ride adaptive suspension system, and up to 13 available camera views to assist your daily commute. Inside, you'll enjoy a class-leading 15-inch head-up display and a 10.2-inch Multicolor touchscreen. All these features come with a price tag that doesn't break out of the $80,000 range. The Cadillac Escalade may offer the same features and add even more luxuries on top, but you'll have to be okay with a higher price tag - the Escalade lineup can increase into the $100,000 range when you add more features. If you want better value, consider the GMC Yukon.
